Outreach Events & Scheduling

Please note: Due to an abundance of caution related to the COVID-19 / Coronavirus situation, TBPELS has decided not to conduct any face-to-face meetings through the end of December. At that time, we'll review the situation and make determinations for future events. Webinars and video conferences are being held. Schedule your event by clicking on the blue button below.

TBPELS gives outreach presentations, as available and at no charge, all over the state to Professional Engineers, associations, societies, and engineering companies.

The Board can also provide outreach via webinar (aside from the quarterly scheduled webinars).

Events with fewer than 25 participants will be scheduled as an online webinar or video conference.

Available Presentations:

Ethics: A general refresher for the practice of engineering, surveying and ethics in the state of Texas. It includes information on board actions, legislative changes, and other issues that affect the profession. Attendance (in person or through webinar) meets the annual continuing education requirement for ethics training.

Licensing: Covers the license application process, information about requirements, and applicant resources. Rule and legislative changes that may affect applicants are also addressed.

Student/Potential Applicants: Covers the benefits of licensure, the board, Texas Law and Rules, the exams, and licensing requirements.

We also provide free webinars throughout the year. Each one is limited to 1,000 attendees. Registration is posted one month in advance of each online event. Refer to our webinar page for future events and further information.

Outreach Requests

Please provide the company/society name, presentation type, at least three dates that will work with your schedule, a one hour time frame, and the physical address where the presentation will be held. If there are any parking requirements, please let us know.

Once the Outreach Coordinator has established an available presenter, they will send you a confirmation email with their name and contact information.

Please note, TBPE does not issue attendance certificates. Proof of attendance should be provided by the event organizer.

Terms & Conditions

Outreach Presentations are provided as a service. TBPE will attempt to accommodate your request; however, all requests are subject to review and approval and will be scheduled with accordance to the Outreach Guidelines and presenters availability. There is no guarantee that we can fulfill all outreach requests.
